A Springweek Break...

It's the first week of springtime and in my garden Grapehyacinths have already started to flower. I noticed this when I was sitting at the kitchen table, finishing up a letter. Now I can see them clearly too, on our nature table. Mom's knitting a pretty green shawl. It's not a shawl yet but it's certainly becoming very pretty. As is the beautiful sight those small blue flowers make. Yet that joyful spring feeling is missing in my life right now.

Because I have not been feeling my best & our computer still refuses to cooperate. I decided to take a little break from blogging with you. I hope you have enjoyed our chats. I have REALLY enjoyed hearing from you! Thank you for your visits!!

Perhaps one day we meet again at Pale Rose cottage,

St. Patrick

Aren't clovers absolutely wonderful? I sure think so!! Therefor I'm really happy that ours are still looking beautiful on St. Patricks day :) Happy St.Pats btw, almost forgot to say that. Guess I've been daydreaming a bit. We will not be doing anything special for this feast, but there IS something wonderful planned for this afternoon...

Catching Up on a Spring day

Many people have been enjoying the Carnaval and probably just got back to work, back to everyday life. Yet dozens of things reminded me about the fact that just a few days earlier three colors covered the village in which our cottage stands...

Baking Blue news Away

It's been a strange week here at Pale Rose, the village got ready to celebrate Carnaval. Flags, balloons and silly costumes popped up everywhere. Cheery bright colors surrounded us, jolly music in the shops, yet we (my family) felt sad. Not because of the Carnaval parade (of which we take no part), but we got a call from a relative that was rather upsetting...
