It's that pumpkin time of year again, and here at Pale Rose we have eaten our fair share of pumpkin soup, pumpkin bread & pumpkin mash. So by the time it was the actual date of Halloween, we had something else for lunch...
Mom's homemade carrot bread! The recipe is a family favorite, filled with walnuts, raisins and grated carrots. Absolutely delicious and without any sugar, so we could have a slice or two ... or three :)
As we don't really celebrate Halloween, this luxury bread is the only thing festive at the cottage. We do have our ceramic jack o lantarns on display, surrounded by the little lampions we grew ourselves. All those bright orange colors bringing cheer to our home.
Nothing else really for this day, but we do light a candle for coziness. In our paper star candle holder, another handmade little treasure on display :) Picture below.
How are you celebrating Halloween? Baked a carrot bread? Or maybe a pumpkin pie? Light a candle? Do tell us all about it, we'd love to know!
