Last year we bought a pretty white pumpkin at the local flowershop. When it's life came to an end we "burried" it in the back garden. To our wonderful suprise new life emerged from it this year in the shape of a pumpkin plant. It grew and grew & gave us many yellow flowers (see picture). After a while small pumkins started to form...

I adore bunting, if I see a line of brightly colored little flags hanging somewhere I cannot help but smile. Nothing says lets party like a room full of bunting, don't you think. (The wooden boxes shown in the picture are made by my great grandfather.)
Now, since I'm such a fan, I have made a line of bunting before. But when I got hold of a pretty seedhead stitch pattern I got inspired to make a new line featuring those embroidered seed heads...

Our teapot broke :(
It was sitting on the kitchen counter when Chloë jumped on it and knocked the teapot on the floor. The handle came off, so it could not be used any longer. We've had it for a long time. It was a pretty teapot with thin gold lines and bright blue cornflowers all over it (see picture above). But accidents happen and this was the perfect excuse to go shopping for a new one...

I live here at Pale Rose Cottage with my mom and dad aswell as our two cats. They are a recent addition to our family. Born in the beginning of May they are now four months old, kittens really. They are 2 girls called Charlotte and Chloë. One is white and the other a callico. Always getting into trouble. Cute not?! sleeping in their wicker basket, smiling even. Cats sleep an aweful lot and I have many adorable pictures of them curled up together...

I am a quilter. It's something I'm a bit proud of too and I find myself mentioning it to people all the time... is that silly of me? I have been a quilter for some years and made a bunch of small different quilts. To hang on the walls of Pale Rose. My interest with quilting began when my mom made a small babyquilt out of my old baby clothes/fabrics. It was a wonderful result apart from the emotional value it held for both her and me & I was eager to try and make one myself.

We have some gorgeous pink roses growing in our garden. And I was dying to try out some recipes using our very own rose petals. This last week I tried a new recipe I found online: Rose Petal Bread. I read the recipe and it seemed really good. So I got the ingredients out and made it straight away. No time like the present they say. It looked pretty and smelled/tasted great, if I may say so myself. We had it for lunch with some honey and I will definetly make it again some time soon.
Hello there and welcome to Pale Rose Cottage. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Jo's Daughter and I'll be blogging with you from now on.
Every great diary starts with a confession and I don't think it should be otherwise regarding a blog. So here it goes:
